QIPS-01 –Supplier Quality Management:
Suppliers shall be compliant to the Quality Management Systems - Aerospace Requirements of AS 9100/ISO9000 or a QIP review of the Supplier Survey and authorizing a temporary Approval based upon this supplied data

QIPS-02 Certification of Conformance
A Certificate of Conformance (C of C) shall be provided with each shipment.

Certifications shall include:

  • Supplier Name and Address
  • Statement that parts conform to the purchase order requirements.
  • Purchase order number
  • Original Manufacturer’ name and part number as applicable.
  • Part number and part revision, as applicable
  • Quantity Shipped, quantities to be broken out by lot, and lot traceability must be maintained
  • Certifications shall include reference to Material and Process Specifications named on the purchasing documents, or in engineering drawings provided, and must include embedded specifications as applicable.
  • Shelf life expiration date (MM/YY) as applicable
  • If there is no Expiration Date or Shelf Life required, indicate such (i.e. none, indefinite, no expiration date, etc.)
  • Country of Origin
  • Date and Identity (hand or electronic signature)

QIPS-03-Configuration Management
It is the responsibility of the supplier to ensure that they are working to the latest version of specifications referenced within this document as well as the Purchase Order requirements. This Data must also be flowed down to any Sub-Tier Suppliers utilized in the process.

QIPS-04- Test Reports / Certification Results / Laboratory Analysis
Suppliers must provide raw materials test reports / certification results / laboratory analysis requirements (e.g., tensile strength, stress rupture, hardness, chemical composition, etc.), as defined by the product definition and/or the purchase order. All reports must be traceable to the QIP Purchase order and part number.

QIPS-05-Calibration Systems
Calibration Systems shall meet the applicable requirements of ISO 10012, ISO 17025 or ANSI/NCSL Z540-1.

QIPS-06-First Article Inspection
Supplier shall perform First Article Inspection in accordance with the requirements set forth in SAE AS9102, Aerospace First Article Inspection Requirement. Supplier shall forward one (1) copy of First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) to Quality Industrial Products (with the first shipment) with Supplier’s shipper in the first shipment of parts. If the drawing is revised, or there is a change in the Process, a new FAIR is required. Where the Revisions or the Process has not changed a New FAIR will be required every 2 Years.

QIPS-07-Foreign Object Damage/Control (FOD)

Supplier shall establish and maintain systems and procedures necessary to provide a definitive program of foreign object damage/control (FOD).


All documents generated incompliance to SPOC requirements shall be maintained for 10 years at the Suppliers facility. Suppliers will regard the documents created to meet QIP requirements Proprietary and cannot be released without QIP consent and approval. Electronically Stored Documents are to be backed up. Paper records are to be preserved & protected from Damage. In the event the records are damaged or lost QIP must be notified immediately.

QIPS-09- Control of Items with Limited Shelf-Life
QIPS-09-A: 50% shelf life remaining required
QIPS-09-B: 75% shelf life remaining required
QIPS-09-C: 90% shelf life remaining required

Products shall contain no metallic mercury and must be free from contamination by mercury. The Supplier shall not use mercury, mercury components or mercury bearing instruments or equipment that cause the contamination during the manufacture, service, assembly, or test of materials.

The Supplier shall send a signed statement with the shipment that tells that the items are free of mercury and free from mercury contamination, the statement must include:

  • The Purchase Order Number
  • The National Stock Number (NSN), as applicable
  • The Manufacturer’s Code (CAGE) and Part Number or the Specification or Drawing Number
  • The date of shipment and the quantity shipped

This paragraph must be notated as below, or words that convey the same meaning:
"The undersigned certifies that the items shipped conform to the requirements of the Purchase Order. The items are free from mercury contamination. Mercury-bearing instruments and equipment which can cause mercury contamination were not used in the manufacture, service, assembly, or testing of the items supplied."

The statement must contain the signature of a corporate or company officer.

QIPS-11- Prohibited Materials

QIPS-11-A: Class I Ozone Depleting Substances
Class I Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) shall not be used in the design, test, manufacture, integration and assembly, handling, transportation, operations, maintenance or disposal of the hardware/components delivered to this order. A certified, signed statement attesting to this shall accompany shipment and be enclosed with packing slip. Certification must contain the manufacturer’s name and supplied part number. This certification may be incorporated in the certificate of conformance.

QIPS-11-B: European Material Restrictions

Suppliers delivering product to European sites shall understand and comply with Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical (REACH).

QIPS-11-C: RoHS Compliance

Parts/material ordered on this purchase order, shall comply with the European Union’s Directive 2011/65/EU, dated 8, June 2011, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).

The technical data forwarded herewith is "Export Controlled". Export of this information in any form is restricted by the "Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, U.S.C., Sec. 2751 et seq.)" or the "Export Administration Act of 1979", as amended seq. Violations of these export laws are subject to severe criminal penalties.

Supplier shall not disclose this information or element thereof, in any form to a foreign person (including foreign person employees), entity, or export it from the United States without U.S. Government authority.

Further, by acceptance of this data, supplier agrees to treat this information in confidence and will not use it, or disclose to others in whole or in part for any purpose except as authorized in writing.

If the supplier determines that disclosure of this information to foreign persons, in whole or in part, is necessary in the performance of the work delineated herein, supplier shall ensure that such disclosure is in accordance with applicable "International Traffic in Arms Regulations" (ITAR). Additionally, supplier shall provide Quality Industrial Products advance notification of such disclosure that will include applicable information required for duty-free entry in accordance with the applicable FAR/DFAR clauses. Supplier shall flow the substance of this notice to all lower tier suppliers where technical data is provided.


If applicable to this Purchase order, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and Customer Flow down clauses in effect on the date of this Purchase Order will be noted on the face of the order by FAR/DFAR number or document number and they are incorporated by this reference as if set out fully herein.
